Owner Penny Sandoval has consulted with Chef Carmen
Rodriguez a Chicago native. Who started off as a dishwasher in the well known Italian eatery "Giovani's" at the ripe old age of 14. With the help of his chef mentor Chef Giovani, Chef Carmen was able to apprentice with top chefs nationally and internationally, honing his culinary skills. Landing in the Santa Barbara California area, he received many accolades for his award winning cuisine. Carmen moved to Santa Fe in the Spring of 2000 to work for the famed Coyote Cafe and has worked for Santa Fe's top restaurants.  He has also been an instructor for the Santa Fe School of Cooking since 2001. 

Before Penny and her chef's created their first dish for this new venture, they vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of passion and creativity. Critics have been raving ever since. Guests agree.  Saffron of Santa Fe is one of Santa Fe's best for your catering needs.
